FERNANDINA FISHING CHARTERS
Capt. Bart Smith has been fishing for over thirty years with his love of the water beginning at an early age fishing, boating and sailing around his hometown of Interlaken, New Jersey on the Jersey shore. He comes from a long line of seafaring captains in his family.
Capt. Bart spent five years in the US Coast Guard learning navigation and boat handling skills. When Capt. Bart moved to Amelia Island in 2014 he immediately fell in love with the amazing fisheries that the area has to offer.
Capt. Bart decided to put his passion for fishing to work and in 2016 he got his USCG Captain’s license and started guiding part time for friends, family and visitors to the island.
Capt. Bart mainly fishes for Red Fish, Spotted Sea Trout, Sheepshead, and Black Drum. He also does specialty trips for King Fish, Tarpon and trips offshore. Capt Bart provides everything you will need for a fishing adventure which includes licenses, tackle, rods, and bait. A cooler with ice and bottles of cold waters is included.
