Capt. Chris specializes in fly fishing for inshore and nearshore species, his primary focus is getting you hooked up on Redfish, which reside year-round in the waters surrounding Amelia Island.  In the spring and summer Capt. Chris can set you up for fly fishing opportunities for nearshore species including False 

Albacore, Spanish Mackerel and Sharks.  During summer and fall months you will experience the excitement of spotting and hooking tailing Redfish in the grass on flood tides.  Not experienced with fly fishing but you want to try it?  Capt. Chris enjoys teaching newcomers and his love for the sport is contagious.

 

In addition to fly fishing, Capt. Chris can accommodate up to four passengers for light tackle fishing and anglers of all ages and abilities are welcome. Bring your own gear, or take advantage of the equipment offered by Capt. Chris.  Southern Fly Outfitters will provide all the equipment for your trip so you can just show up and enjoy. 

 

Capt. Chris has you covered with fly rods and flies, spinning rods, bait and terminal tackle is included.  A cooler with water and ice is also provided. Capt. Chris practices and encourages catch and release; however if you wish to keep your catch, Capt. Chris will filet and bag it for you.

Capt. Chris is a resident of Fernandina Beach and is passionate about fishing and protecting this amazing waterway he calls home. Capt. Chris is a Pro Staff member of Nautilus Reels and Cortland Line Company, a member of CCA Florida, Captains for Clean Water and Bonefish and Tarpon Trust.
